It went really smooth. A nice nurse took us to the room and got our paperwork started. It wasn't long and I had an IV in and induction was started. Long story short, it took all night and until around 3 pm Thursday before Noah was ready to meet us!
I went in to see the doctor today. My blood pressure was a little high, so they told me to go home and pack my bags and call the hospital around 3 pm to see when they wanted me to come in. Boy did the time fly! I came home and showered and packed my bags and was told to eat before coming in. We ate a quick bite at Arby's and was admitted around 7 pm.

I'm so behind, so I'm back dating a little over a month. We took these pictures on Saturday and on Tuesday at our appointment my blood pressure was a little high. They told us to go home and pack our bag...babies coming! We were admitted around 6 Tuesday afternoon to start inducing labor.
Early this morning my Granny passed away. Yes, I'm back dating this blog. I'm not sure how to proceed with it, but I want to share a few of my most remembered memories with you. I found out Tuesday that my Granny wasn't doing well. I'm 36 1/2 weeks pregnant and really struggled with what to do. We work nights, so the news came when we were laying down to sleep a little to get back to night schedule. At this point I was in denial and feel asleep crying. We woke up around 1 a.m. and I texted my parents asking if they were in Seminole. Mom called and said everyone was there and they had all said goodbye. It hit me at that moment that I had to make a decision. Do I have Michael drive me to Seminole and try my best to control my body and feelings to keep Noah and I healthy? I couldn't bear the thought of not saying goodbye, so we headed out in the pouring rain to Seminole ER early Wednesday morning. I got to say goodbye and although Wednesday was the hardest, I'm glad we went. She had an ER full of family that loves her!! One of the earliest memories I have of Granny is going to stay with them during the summer. All of us cousins running around the house hyped up on sugar and nowhere near ready for bed! Granny would try to round us up and read us a bedtime story...but instead she read herself to sleep! Sometimes she would even try to skip pages and us kids knew better and informed her that was NOT how the story goes! There were many a days on the slippin' slide and Grandpa filming us...oh goodness I don't even want to see! They even had a pool and the coolest tree houses for us to fight over and build on. I'm sure Granny and Grandpa were a little excited when summer ended and they had a little peace and quiet from all of us grandkids. I even remember days spent at the gyn office. Oh and the park at Seagraves. I was terrified of that big tall tower with the BIG slide! You know, I went by there not too long ago and the park isn't the same. They have new "safer" equipment now. Oh boo!! I even remember going with Granny to deliver Meals on Wheels a few times. Oh and the many puzzles we did sitting around the kitchen table...and I usually hid the last piece and Granny tricked us all on Christmas with the "last" piece stuck on her elbow. Haha! I guess I didn't get the last piece that time around!!! I also remember many volleyball games that my Grandparents came to. I think even some little league baseball and little dribblers basketball games too. My Grandparents raised 6 amazing children that gave them 19 grandchildren. There are MANY memories to my Granny's story. It doesn't stop there...there are also 11 great-grandchildren. Oh and not even there, for there are currently 4 more great-grands in the oven!! She had a wonderful life and was an amazing woman for all of us to grow up under. God entrusted her with many and that is something to be proud of!! I really don't know who really reads this. I would love to hear your memories by commenting below on the blog. There are so many and I'd love to remember along with you all. Grandpa...that means you too if your reading this...Aunts and Uncles...cousins....great grands....What are your memories of Mary Lou?!
Please comment on the blog, so it stays with the blog story and not on facebook where it will be lost... vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv COMMENT BELOW vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Time is flying by! Today we are at 33 weeks and 3 days. We see the doctor later this morning. I hope we get a decent 3D picture of Noah today! He seems to be good at avoiding the camera. Mom and Dad are doing well. Mom is trying to take it easy and not over do herself. It's frustrating realizing I can't do what I normally can. I've decided to reduce hours at work. I will still work my 3 12 hour nights a week... But eliminate the extra night every other week. Hopefully this will help me make it to the end of August at work. Noah is due September 7! It will be here before we know it! We went on a morning drive yesterday morning to take some pictures of the Noah belly. He's growing and pushing on poor Mommy's belly, but I know I'm going to miss it. My sweet hubby took me on a morning adventure ride last weekend to Petersburg to see the sunflowers. It's such a beautiful sight and the morning sky was amazing. I love our morning outings! Can't wait to have our sweet Noah to put in ALL the pictures!!! Oh, I would never!! :)
It's been awhile, but we finally got out and took a few 30 week pictures. It's been a trying time since I last blogged. My sugar test came back high, so I was sent back for a 3 hr test. That came out high too. So, after all the nasty sugar drinks and all those pokes, I am now diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Oh yay! I'm on a diabetes diet plan and taking my sugar 2 hrs after meals. I need to control my sugar with diet, but some days it doesn't matter what I do. We have been working through it and Michael is trying to reinforce positive thinking in this frustrated Mommy. I'm not a medicine taker and just want my body to take care of this sweet boy the way it needs to. My lovely sister tells me to do what I can do and thats all I can do. I repeat this to myself all the time. The first 2 weeks of taking my sugar went well and the doctor said everything was looking good. The second 2 weeks is about to come to an end. We will see how things are looking on Tuesday. It's been harder to keep my sugar at the level they are wanting, but I think controlling by diet will continue another 2 weeks as long as the ultrasound looks good. Enough about all that! As of today we have about 2 months to go!! I'm so excited to see Noah and get to hold him! The doctor was going to get a 3d shot of his face at the last appointment....but that little stinker wouldn't have it. He was hiding from the camera like his Daddy would!! Hopefully this Tuesday he will let us see him!!! His movements have gotten stronger. Some days I swear his foot is going to kick through my belly. He is even letting Daddy see and feel his movements without teasing now. Noah used to move all around until I motioned for Michael to feel! Maybe he gets a little bit of that orneriness from me?! I think we have finally gotten Noah's room mostly finished!!! We still need to take some pictures with a real camera, but here are a few phone pictures for those that just can't wait...like me! I'm excited for the baby shower here in Lubbock on August 3rd and we can get a little more baby stuff in the room!! Yes, you should all be getting an invitation in the mail soon!!! I want to see you all here! Our cloth diaper stash we have been working on. Yes, we are going cloth...so check out all the cute stuff and bless us with more!! I think we have enough newborn size, but we definitely need larger sizes. We have enjoyed a neat shop here in town, Green Dazzle Baby. They have all kinds of cloth diapers stuff. They even have a room in the back for registries, so soon our stuff should be up so you don't have to guess at what in the world to get!
Oh and I don't have a picture yet, but the rural mail lady from Milnesand gave Mom and Dad a big bag of clothes for 0-3 month, so I think we are good with that size! We didn't register for any clothes since they change so often, but all sizes are needed and we don't mind hand me downs either! Well get to it and put August 3rd on your calendars! It's a family thing, so bring everyone and come enjoy some time with Michael and I and celebrate Noah with us!! What a night! We shutdown production in the fab last night around 10pm because of a storm moving in. The lights were already flickering and the storm wasn't even here yet. Michael and I went out to our break area and it seemed calm outside. The news was on tv showing that a big storm was rolling in. Still wasn't seeing the reason for the flickering lights until suddenly the tv went out and shortly after the electricity went too. Then the wind hit hard. I really thought it was a tornado in the courtyard of X-fab.
Everyone was sent home at 1am. I don't think there were many vehicles that made it off X-fab property without windows broken out. The truck had both drivers side windows broken out and the back window. We went straight home from work to check on things at the house. Thankfully everything was ok at home. We waited around until Michael's parents would be up and took the truck to park in their garage until we can get things done with the insurance. Thank you to his parents for letting us borrow their garage and a vehicle and to my parents for taking care of the insurance call today while we slept and prepared for another night of work. My parents arrived safely in Corpus last night. My Papaw is in ICU. Say a prayer for him! I just received a text with a picture of him giving a thumbs up, so he is looking much better!! :) Some more pictures of the baby bump growing! We are at 26 weeks and 4 days today. Noah has been kicking up a storm. I get pure joy out of watching my stomach roll around from his movement. We've been trying to get things ready for Noah. His room is a work in progress. We rearrange the laundry nook/panty to make more room in the kitchen and even rearranged the living room Oh and we bought a sewing machine so hopefully we will soon be on our way to making a few diapers and such for Noah. Other than that Mommy is absent minded and Daddy is trying to keep her in line!
I'm so behind on blogging! It's a good thing I can back date a blog. :) Chad and Laura threw a gender reveal party for us in Lovington. We had such a great time! I asked everyone that couldn't come to send in gender guess pictures. We got some really cute ones. For those that could go to the party we had fun props for everyone to use for a gender guess photo when they walked in. To see all the pictures click here. There are the guesses from the party. We shall see who is right! :) The gender guess numbers I had by the time the party started. Looks like boy is in the lead. The grandparents are ready for the cake. They have been waiting for the party to find out what we are having!! It's a BOY!!! Originally we were the only ones to know the gender. We were going to have Laura make 2 cakes and we'd cut into the "right" cake. Laura really had reservations about having blue and pink cake in all the photos from the party...After all that was the BIG reveal, so 2 days before the party we told her what color cake she should make. I LOVE IT! It turned out great and we decided since we already knew, the grandparents should cut into the cake!! The expecting new Mommy and Daddy are overjoyed!! We can't wait to meet Noah Anthony Romero!!!
Today is our 2nd anniversary! We celebrated yesterday by going to the doctor to see our little one. Everything looks great and we now know what we are having!! Ah...no, I can't tell yet. You will have to wait 2 more weeks until after Laura's party for us. :) My love also took me out to eat at a new restaurant in town, Chuy's. It was delicious! We have also been very busy working on the baby's room and even rearranging the living room. Making room in this tiny house is an interesting chore. Oh and we finally finished the storage building...well mostly. It has junk in it, so that's all that matters. I'm currently 21 weeks and 4 days prego. We have passed the half way mark!! My belly is getting bigger and I feel a little clumsy....well M says clumsier... My food loves this month are fried burritos with chocolate milk, BLTs, cantaloupe and watermelon, otter pops, and reeses peanut butter cups! I'm so excited about the work we have been doing on the baby's room and can't wait to share our news with everyone in a few weeks. Our little one has been moving around a lot lately and sometimes surprising mommy with surprise attacks. We took some anniversary/21 week pictures...but I'm sure you don't want to see them...but you will anyways!
